Social Studies Grading Policy:

• Homework/Classwork = 20%
• Tests/Quizzes 20%
• Projects = 50%
• Current Events Journal = 10%
• Extra Credit = Teacher's Discretion.

Brass Castle Grading Scale:

• A    90 – 100%
• B    80 – 89%
• C    70 – 79%
• D    65 – 69%
• F    Below a 65%

• Late Work Policy: For each day late, 10% will be docked from the final assignment grade. After 5 days late, the student can still earn half - credit if the assignment is turned in completed during the marking period it was assigned. 
• Absent Work Policy: When a student misses class, regardless of the reason, they are responsible for making up the work. For each day absent, the student gets an additional day to complete the work. For example, 1 absence = 1 extra day, and 2 absences = 2 extra days.
• Plagiarism/Cheating Policy: If a student is caught plagiarizing a writing assignment, or cheating on a test/quiz, the student will receive an automatic zero and Mr. Dimitriou will contact the parent(s)/guardian(s).
