Birthdays are a wonderful opportunity to remind your children how special they are!

I love to celebrate your little one's special day in school.

Here is some information to help you...

  • There will be no food items for birthdays. You may send in something other than edible treats (ex. pencils, stickers, etc.).
  • We have 20 students in our class (subject to change).
  • Your child will get to wear a special birthday crown and sticker all day. They will also get to be the "junior teacher" and choose a "brain break" activity for the class to enjoy.
  • Your child may also choose a book to be donated to our classroom library in honor of his or her birthday. Please gift-wrap the book. The book will be opened in front of the class and a special label with your child's name and birthday will be added to the inside cover. Your child will be remembered for years to come!  If your child would like to they may read the book to the class on their birthday.
  • In June, we will have a special celebration in honor of all our summer birthdays! (Details to follow).

Additionally, some parents like to plan parties for their child outside of school.  I encourage this practice, however, the policy for our classroom is that we only pass out invitations at school if there is one for every child in the class.

Thanks for your cooperation in following these guidelines to ensure that ALL of our children are able to enjoy birthday celebrations in our classroom
