My name is Mrs. Lubin and I am your child’s 2025-2026 Second grade ELA and Social Studies teacher. I am so happy to have the opportunity to help lay another brick in the foundation of your child’s education. I enjoy teaching and my goal is to assist you in creating a lifelong learner. I look forward to collaborating with you as we work together as a team to make this the best year possible for you and your child.
Together, we will be exploring English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. I am looking forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and success.
Throughout the year, students will be assessed using i-Ready to help track their progress and guide instruction. This will allow me to meet your child where they are and support them in reaching their full potential.
Homework will be assigned daily and is an important part of reinforcing what we are learning in class. Students are also expected to read for at least 20 minutes each night, and we kindly ask that parents sign off on their homework to confirm completion.
At the start of the school year, there will be several important forms that must be filled out and returned in their entirety. These documents help us ensure that we can best support your child both in and out of the classroom.
For communication, I will be using ClassDojo to share classroom updates, reminders, and student celebrations. If you need to reach me directly, you are always welcome to call me through the school office phone.
