Meet Your Teacher

Mrs. Stramaglia

A little bit about me...

I received my bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven Univeristy. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I began working in corporate fitness for HealthFitness and became a Program Manager, managing a fitness center for our members, doing personal training for my clients, and teaching group exercise classes. After my career in corporate, I decided to pursue my teaching certification in Health and Physical Education from the Rutgers Alternate Route program.

What do I enjoy...

I love the outdoors! I enjoy hiking and playing outdoors with my husband and kids, playing basketball, playing tennis, and improving my fitness and nutrition. Staying active and healthy is very important to my family and I!

My philosophy of education...

"To be the coach in the dugout, motivating and empowering."

My career has been focused on improving the lives of others and I continue to do so in my teaching career. My philosphy of eduation begins with a holistic approach, focusing on three of the eight dimensions of wellness; intellectual wellness, social wellness, and emotional wellness. These three dimensions together will provide students with the opportunity to flourish and succeed as they progress through life. To develop these skills takes patience and understanding towards all students. No two students are alike. I create a diverse teaching style to engage students and provide the best possible opportunities to learn.
