Hello Parent(s),
At Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School, we pledge to provide learning opportunities that prepare all students to become successful, lifelong learners. My name is Tracy Cooper, and I am your child’s 8th-grade Special Education Inclusion Teacher. This academic year, I will facilitate your child’s Study Skills course, focusing on reinforcing essential academic habits and testing strategies.
Through the diligent implementation of mandated accommodations, modifications, and specialized instructional resources, students will be fully equipped to successfully complete examinations and daily classroom assignments. My role is to provide targeted support across core subject areas, specifically focusing on English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics.
Open communication between home and school is vital to student success. Please feel free to contact me regarding instructional lessons, Individualized Education Program (IEP) details, or requests for supplementary educational resources. To ensure compliance with timeline requirements, I will send official correspondence to notify you of upcoming IEP meeting dates at least ten days prior to the deadline for required signatures. I look forward to a collaborative and successful school year.
