I am so excited to be your 8th grade ELA teacher!
Be prepared to explore various worlds through literature and writing. We will have spoken presentations occasionally as well. Together we will continue to reach greater heights to become even better readers, writers, and communicators!
I am a firm believer in independent reading driven by personal interest, so I am excited for us to explore and read books and works (fiction/non-fiction) throughout this year together as a class and independently outside of class.
Homework is written on the whiteboard, presented in class, and visible in OnCourse. Any unfinished classwork is homework, unless collected at the end of class or directed otherwise.
If submitting late work virtually, remember to email me to let me know. Unsubmitted work, past two weeks of its due date, is no longer able to be submitted for a grade.
