Welcome to First Grade!!!  My name is Dawn Bellard.  I have been teaching in Allen Parish for 16 years.  I was an instructional coach, Assistant Princpal, and a teacher of various grades.  I am from Evangeline Parish and decided that this year I was ready to come home.  I am ready to have an awesome school year with your children and can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us.

My planning period is from: 9:55-10:25 each day.

 

I send home a skills sheet each week with the skills that will be taught in ELA, Math, and Social Living.  The skills sheet also has when the test are.  

 

Please practice daily with your students the sight words that I send home.  You can make flash cards with them on index cards.  It is very important that they learn these words to succeed in first grade.
