Hello and welcome to Hopewell Elementary School's SKIP class! I am so excited that you are here. I am eager to get to know, not only your child but you, as well! Having open lines of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. Thank you for all you do for your child and our school!
The preschool years are an amazing time for playing, learning, forming new friendships, and becoming more independent. We will have a ton of fun doing all of that, and more, together! I am honored to be your child's first, or one of their first teachers to begin their educational journey. I look forward to instilling a love of learning and school in your child's life.
I am truly looking forward to a fantastic year, which will begin on FAMILY DAY, Wednesday, September 4th. Session 1 will run from 10:00-10:45 AM for our FULL DAY program. I welcome my SKIP friends and families to meet me, my amazing paraprofessionals, therapists, new classmates, and parents to connect with. This is a drop-in session. You do not have to arrive exactly on the hour and you do not have to stay for the entire 45 minutes.
Please read the attached Welcome Packet found on my home page, below this Welcome Letter. This includes everything you need to know about preschool! It is primarily an overview of the program. Please read over the entire packet over the next week and jot down any questions you may have. When we meet at your Family Day session, you will have the opportunity to ask me any unanswered questions you have about our class or program. I look forward to meeting you then! Please keep in mind that more information about the curriculum, etc will be shared on Back to School Night.
Our first official day of school will be on Thursday, the 5th!
Enjoy the rest of your summer. I can't wait to see you all in September!
