Hello friends! My name is Carla Tomas-Paiva; welcome to 4th grade at the UES. This is going to be a BIG year filled with lots of learning and fun! I am so excited to be teaching at the UES. I know it is a big school, but you will adjust in no time.

 

I am a proud resident of Sayreville and am very familiar with the community. My two daughters attend Sayreville Public Schools as well. This is my fifth school year at the UES, and my 20th year of teaching. I currently teach Language Arts and Social Studies. I graduated from Kean University with a degree in Elementary Education. 

I speak Portuguese and some Spanish. I have a family that I adore; my husband, two daughters, two rabbits and two dogs. Some of my favorite things to do are, going to the beach, gardening, playing with my dogs, & bunnies and traveling to new places.
