My name is Ms. Beckett and I will be your Health and Physical Education Teacher for this year. I am excited to get this school year underway! I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you!! I know, together, we will make this school year a very successful one regardless of the obstacles we face!!!! 

 

 

 

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

 

Lakeside Middle School recognizes that all of our students have individual and unique greatness. Our staff spends a good deal of time finding and energizing these individualities every day. We also want to energize the shared greatness of our students that allows our school to be a thriving community of learners. 

 

We have the following expectations of greatness among all of our students:

 

• We see our students are eager to learn as they keep their cell phones in their lockers or their backpacks. With cell phones off and away while learning, our students show their dedication to becoming the best student they can.

• We see our students are compassionate because the words they choose to use with their teachers and their peers are positive and encouraging. 

• We see our students are respectful because they choose to follow the directions of adults and communicate with staff constructively and privately about disagreements. 

• We see our students are creative because they choose to come to school dressed in their own unique style in a way that positively contributes to the learning environment.

• We see our students are responsible and courteous as they travel between classes in the hallways. During this time our students maintain their own personal space and use quiet voices in order to allow others to learn.
