Welcome students and parents to Ms. Armstrong's Kindergarten class. We are going to have a wonderful and successful 2023-2024 school year. I'm looking forward to working with you and your child. We work as a team, so I need your help reviewing daily with your child. This will help them have a succeful school year and prepare them for 1st grade. On my page, you will find links to different websites where you can find educational games, videos, and enrichment activities. Below I will provide you with a brief schedule of how our days normally go, rules and rewards. - D.E.A.R - Drop everyting and read
- Interventions (ELA) - Focus on Letter Recognition and Sounds, Beginning Sounds, Blending and sounding out CVC words (CAT, BED, CAP, CAB, etc), Rhyming words, and writing letters
- Interventions (Math) - Number Recognition (0-20), Counting (0-100 if possible), Matching numeral with quantity, counting objects up to 20, patterns, sorting objects by color, size, and shape, putting objects in line from longest to shortest, writing numbers
- Afternoon work - Grammar, AR, phonics review, Handwriting
- Science and Social Studies
