Our Pre-K adventures have been so exciting! We know our routines, classroom rules and are learning to get along with our friends and classmates. We have learned to wash our hands on a regular basis, eat lunch as a “family” and work and play together. We are working on recognizing our names in print, letters and numbers.  We will continue to complete different studies all year long.  

Along with large group, small group and outside time we have free choice time. During free choice the following options are available:
Art Center…a variety of art supplies are available for use. Students are sometimes guided to complete a project as well.
Sand Table
Discovery Center….contains science/discovery items such as shells, rocks, magnets, calculators, playdoh, pond animals
Writing Center….contains items such as white boards, chalk boards, paper and various writing instruments
Toys and Games….a variety of puzzles, manipulatives and easy games
Library…comfy furniture and stuffy friends to read with, stationary magnet boards
Block Center…variety of building material including, people, vehicles, large blocks, small blocks, magnet blocks
Dramatic Play…this area changes every 6 weeks or so, it is currently a kitchen, household, dress up area

As you can see, it’s a fun day here in pre-k!
