Homework-->Each night, your child will have either a grammar, word study, or vocabulary worksheet. This assignment is based on previous knowledge or current skills. Also, your child will have a math worksheet for them to complete. I will never send math assignments where they will have to ask any questions or help. It is important that your child can do the work on their own to build independence and confidence.
Fifth Grade is a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow, explore, create, and learn. It is also a time when your child will have the chance to have a positive mindset, express kindness to their peers, and become an achiever in the classroom.
If your child would like to learn how to play chess, https://www.chesskid.com/ is a great site to play the game! Also Epic! has chess videos and chess books for kids to learn how to play too!
