Ms. Errickson’s 7th Grade Classes
Language Arts
Rules/Policies/ Procedures
The school itself has rules in place that must be followed at all times. I have additional rules for my classroom. Every student must follow all these rules at all times for the classroom to remain safe and cohesive.
Policies:
Late Work: Per the district
A teacher will deduct a maximum of 5 points per day for the first 10 days. Work submitted after 10 days late will not be assessed higher than a 50, but must be higher than a zero. (Exception for students with IEP accommodations.) Extenuating circumstances should be discussed with the teacher on a case-by-case basis. The absolute deadline for submitting late assignments is 3 days prior to the end of that particular marking period. No assignments will be accepted after that point.
Advanced/Honors/AP courses: A teacher will deduct a maximum of 10 points per day for the first 5 days. Work submitted after 5 days late will not be assessed higher than a 50, but must be higher than a zero. (Exception for students with IEP accommodations.) Extenuating circumstances can be discussed with the teacher on a case-by-case basis. The absolute deadline for submitting late assignments is 3 days prior to the end of that particular marking period. No assignments will be accepted after that point.

STAR Reader: Per the district
Each marking period every student is expected to read at least 2 outside novels which will be provided by the library.
IXL: Per the district
Every student will complete 30 minutes per week of IXL practice. This practice will be a part of the grade for each student.
Absences: Per the district
Per school policy, you have as many days to make up the assignment as you were out with a legitimate absence ( my brother’s best friend’s cousin’s hamster was giving birth and we had to drive out to Oklahoma to help is not a legitimate absence)
Please let me know if you are aware of any future absence so I can gather any work that you will miss and give it to you ahead of time.
Any missed assignments will be posted on Google Classroom.
Late to class:
Three lates to class without a pass will result in a teacher detention and contact with a parent/guardian. If it continues to be a problem, that matter will be taken to administration.
Bathroom Passes:
Only one person will be allowed out of the room at a time unless there is an emergency.
