Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s),

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. My name is Ms. Komm and I will be your child’s teacher for 7th Grade Science class. Within the first few days of school, students will receive a class syllabus and classroom/lab safety contract to be reviewed with a parent or guardian. After review, the student and parent/guardian will be asked to sign an electronic acknowledgement form (located in OnCourse Classroom) together. During this time, also review the student handbook and OnCourse system together.

Teamwork makes the dreamwork. I look forward to working together as a team, me, you and your child, welcoming them back to school, getting settled into a new routine and guiding them through what can be a successful school year in science class.

Students will be able to access links to frequently used websites, resources, class announcements such as quarterly exam dates, important information and so on in their OnCourse Classroom. OnCourse Classroom will be updated September 3, 2026 with resources.

Parents and/or Guardians will be able to find information/resources on my teacher’s page as well as your child's OnCourse.

NOTE: As the school year progresses, information may change or be adapted.

Best way to contact me is by email: [email protected] . At any time there is a question, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Daily Class Materials Recommended/Required for Success

  • Science specific - Dedicated folder for worksheets and important documents, 3-Ring Binder with lined paper or notebook for notes, and writing utensils (pencils, erasers and blue or black pens).

  • Agenda/Planner - to write due dates of projects, tests and quizzes. This can also be a notebook in which students write down important dates for all classes.

  • Student issued STUDENT ID - to be worn at all times.

  • Student issued chromebook and charger. Students are responsible for these items for their educational needs both in class and at home.
