A little bit about art class...

Mary J. Donohoe provides one art class a week for grades K-8. Throughout the year, students will be learning about:

• Principles and elements of design
• Influential artists
• Art movements
• Art history.
• How to critique work (how to provide constructive criticism)
• Social and emotional lessons through artwork

Techniques such as painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpting, and carving will be used. 

Artwork produced by students will be hung in the hallways as well as in school art shows during the year. Make sure to check in with my art website on the homepage to see postings of what students are making during art class.
