About Mrs. Brown
I am from Lake Charles and graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor's of Science. I studied Mathematics and Computer Science during my time there. After graduating college, I then moved here, to Baton Rouge, to work with IBM. I was a programmer there and was given the opportunity to travel to several cities for work. It was during this time that I developed a love for traveling. After spending a few years with IBM, I switched to education and have enjoyed every day since.
I have taught all math classes from 6th grade math up to Calculus. I have also taught previously in both public and private schools. Math is my passion, and I truly do enjoy being able to teach math every day.
In my spare time, I enjoy practicing archery, attending yoga classes, or staying in to watch a movie with my friends. I also enjoy reading YA Fantasy and Adventure books. This past year, I have learned how to make salsa from the garden I began growing and I am also teaching myself how to cross-stitch. My project I am working on currently is of Wonder Woman that contains over 100,000 stitches!
My goal is not only to teach your child math, but to also excite them about learning! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!
