2023-2024

Hello! My name is Mrs. Harrison, and have been teaching for 27 years, this year will be my sixth year to serve as the Librarian/Media Specialist at Roy N. Shelling Elementary.

As an educator I hold the following certifications: School Librarian Grades K-12, Health and Physical Education Grades K-12, Elementary Grades 1-5, Middle School Social Studies Grades 4-8, and Social Studies Grades 6-12.

The school library program serves to instill a love of reading  inspire life-long learning, and foster independent library use.  Students visit once a week with their class to check out materials and to practice information literacy skills.

Students will use the Accelerated Reading program to take AR book quizzes and meet their 9wks Accelerated Reading goal with 90-100% accuracy.

I absolutely love teaching and helping students develop a love for reading.  I have one of the most fun and rewarding jobs within the school!  I look forward to working with my students every day.
