Welcome to Madison James Foster Elementary Library

2026–2027 School Year

Hello! My name is Kristie Harrison, and welcome to the Madison James Foster Elementary Library!

I have been an educator for 30 years, and this year marks my ninth year serving as a Library Media Specialist

As an educator, I hold the following certifications:

 School Librarian, Grades K–12

Health and Physical Education, Grades K–12

  Elementary Education, Grades 1–5

Middle School Social Studies, Grades 4–8

  Social Studies, Grades 6–12

The Madison James Foster Elementary Library strives to instill a love of reading, inspire lifelong learning, and foster independent library use. Students visit the library once each week

with their class to check out books, participate in engaging library lessons, and practice information literacy skills that will help them become successful lifelong learners.

I absolutely love teaching and helping students develop a passion for reading. Being a school librarian is one of the most fun and rewarding jobs in our school, and I look forward to

working with each of my students every day.

Welcome to the library! I can't wait to share another wonderful year of reading, learning, and discovery with you!
