September/October Update

Hello Hillside TV1 Parents and Guardians!  My name is Mr. Noah Galembo and I am your child's teacher for TV Production 1 this year.  I wanted to take this opportunity to contact you today to establish what will hopefully be a bi-weekly update/newsletter on what we are doing in class.  I am very excited to be have the opportunity to teach your children very valuable production skills that they will need in our modern 21st century world.  Please see below for updates on projects we are working on, important links, and contact information for me.  I look forward to partnering with you to give your children a successful, productive, and inspiring semester in TV Production 1!

What We are Working on Now
Camera Angles Project-students learned about common Hollywood camera shots and angles.  They also explored camera operations and how to use the "rule of thirds" to frame their videos correctly.  We discussed the benefits of planning for the camera and of steady camera work.  Students were then given a script to film using all of the camera angles they learned about.

5 Manfrotto Tripods
5 Canon HFR800 HD Cameras
5 Smartphone Tripod Mounts-use your phone to film!
