Coach Rob's Week at A Glance (1/20-23/2026)
Students will write a 3-paragraph essay this week discussing Anne Frank's tone across various diary entries that reflect both despair and hope. Learners will organize their work in a learning log, ask for assistance from staff as needed, and discuss with classmates where to find the information to develop their work. We will continue to review the following items throughout the week:
Understanding tone and mood in literature
Citing text to support analysis of what the text says
Determining the meaning of words and phrases as used in a text
Writing informative and explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas
Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar
