Hi! My name is Mrs. Franco, formally Ms. Gieger. This will be my fifth year in Hillside. I am a Kean University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special education with a minor in English and Psychology. I believe every student learns differently and in order to reach their full potential it is important to incorporate all the different learning styles. That is why I will be teaching to reach hands on, visual, and auditory learners. I will be teaching Literacy, Writing, and Social Studies. I also believe in having an "open door" policy. I will be using a system called Remind. It a free app on cell phones/tablet. This app will serve as a reminding system where I will send important dates to remember, if their are any tests/quizes coming up, etc. It also serves as a texting system that you can feel free to contact me on at any time.
