“To thrive in a global economy a multicultural society. U.S. students need fluency in at least one language other than English.” (Met Miryam. Why Language Learning Matters, 2001).
I have 18 years of teaching experience. This is my six years at Irvington High School. I am happy to be part of this professional staff and great community. I am native Spanish speaker. I have my Standard Certification as a Spanish Teacher and my Master is in World Language Education from Jersey City University. In addition, I also have taken courses in Spanish from NYU. I have experience as a teacher both at the college level and from Kindergarten through twelfth grade.
I enjoy working with young people that live in an international world. Knowing more than one language can be helpful in these students career in the future.
