Welcome to Science and Social Studies with Mr. Batiste. Thank you for visiting my teacher's website! I am very excited about the 2023-2024 school year at St. John Parish Alternative School! After teaching for three years at Lincoln Parish, I moved to Laplace for the last three years. In Ruston, I taught science to middle school and high school students in the piney hill town of Homer.
I enjoyed my time in North Louisiana getting to know the students, traveling, meeting new people, and trying new things. I am extremely excited to get back to St. John Parish. I love the outdoors where I can hike, bike, and run. I am a proud Grambling Tiger Alumna graduating from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Additionally, I received my teaching certificate and license in Elementary and Secondary Science through I-Teach. I love diving into science and getting dirty exploring the world up close. I am looking forward to working with the wonderful students and families at Laplace again where I can focus on my passion, Science! The High School Student will use Edmentum 100% for all classes.
