2023-2024 GRADING POLICY

 

 

   The following is the grading scale used by the district to formulate overall averages.

 

Math

 

   Exit tickets = 30% 

            These scores are based on a 0-3 scale

            0= 70= Student demonstrated no understanding of concept

            1= 80 = Student demonstrated little understanding of concept

            2= 90= Student demonstrated majority understanding of concept

            3= 100= Student demonstrates full understanding of concept

 

   Assessments = 30%

 

   Participation = 40% 

            Participation will be determined by the number of Zearn lessons the student completes in a week. On a typical week, students should be able to complete 3 lessons. Lessons maybe completed for homework if the student runs out of time. 

            1 completed lesson = 73 %

            2 completed lessons = 86%

            3 completed lessons = 100% 

 

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES 

 

            Exit Slips/ Assessments = 50% 

                     These scores are based on a 0-3 scale

 

                  0= 70= Student demonstrated no understanding of concept

 

                  1= 80 = Student demonstrated little understanding of concept

 

                  2= 90= Student demonstrated majority understanding of concept

 

                  3= 100= Student demonstrates full understanding of concept

 

           

            Participation = 50%

 

                        Participation will be determined by completion of tasks,i.e.

                        science labs/ social studies labs

                          

                           Partially completed lab = 73%

                           Mostly completed lab = 83%

                           Fully completed lab = 100%
