Classroom Expectations

1.  Be prepared.

2.  Follow directions immediately when given.

3.  Raise your hand to speak and to request permission to get out of your seat.

4.  Follow all LMS Non-Negotiables.

5.  Participate!

Behavior Management System 

In our self-contained classroom, students earn points, gain levels and rewards by following the Classroom Expectations and the LMS Non-Negotiables.  We follow a four level system going from lowest to highest in points earned for the day.  The level upon which a student ends his/her day is the level at which he/she begins the following school day.   Our levels are as follows:

 Bronze (80 points or less)   

 Silver (80-90 points)    

 Gold (90-100+)

 Diamond (student has been on Gold Level for five consecutive days)

Students earn points throughout the school day and, with the exception of the Bronze Level, earn rewards such as if they have earned Diamond or Gold, they get to walk to Specials like Art, Audio Visual, Gym and lunch on their own and unescorted and may eat lunch with friends in the cafeteria.  Silver and Bronze eat at our assigned tables.  Students have the chance to earn points wach period to imrpove their levels.
