  • Actively discussing the various health components related to healthy eating and daily fitness.  

  • Identifying and applying all physiological and cognitive long term benefits of exercise.

  • Empowering their minds by setting and attaining all individual goals.  

  • Using physical activity to manage stress.

  • Monitoring individual fitness progression over a given period of time.

  • Analyzing and utilizing a variety of training methods and routines.

  • Developing and enhancing all motor skills through practice and determination.

  • Applying teacher’s cues and feedback to further improve the quality of individual technique.   

 

How will I encourage healthy eating in my Health and Physical Education class? 

 

  • Use food logs to monitor and enhance daily eating habits.  

  • Have class discussions regarding all types of nutritional foods and how one can implement them into their daily diet.                                            

  • Plant a vegetable garden as a class.

  • Take a class field trip to a farm or farmer’s market!                                                  

  • Host a nutritional food clinic for parents and students.
