My name is Ambrea Walker-Perrilloux

I am Ecstatic to be your child’s 8th-grade or 6th-grade Math teacher for this 2023-2024 school year here at East St. John PREP. This is my 6th year at THE PREP where we LEARN, LOVE, AND LEAD.

To my Parents/Guardians, Welcome! It is an honor to have your scholar in my classroom this year. This is no coincidence, I do not take it lightly. Your child's education is one that I hold near and dear to my heart. I will be willing to work with you and your scholar to help them reach their maximal potential. I would also like to encourage you to be a positive light in your child's life, and encougrage them to do their very best. I will be here along the way if you need ANYTHING.

Scholars,

Welcome, I am so excited to work with you this year. I will try my best to make you fall in LOVE with Math if you have't already. My goal this year is not only to teach you Math, but to prepare you for your high school journey. This year will go by exrtremely fast, so get ready!! One reason I love teaching 8th grade is because we are in the middle of road. It's a pretty big challenge. You're Seniors one minute and the next you'll be Feshmans again. I hope you are excited as I am, this will be one year for the book.  Rememer I am here to help you with anything, so feel free to reach out. Keep in mind you are Amazing, just the way you are!

Homework

Homework will be given on a consistent basis. It is up to the student to keep track of their assignments. I recommend students check my website daily. Also, students can download the Microsoft Teams app to any electronic device to keep up with class information. Failure to comply will result in low performing grades.

Tutoring

All tutoring sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams. If you feel that you need a one on one session, please let me know so that I am able to set a private meeting with you.

Parent Conference

All parent meetings/conferences will be held via Microsoft Teams. Please contact me via email or phone for more information.

Attendance

Attendance is important. (Virtually or In-person). I encourage you to make sure that your child does not miss school excessively this year. Missing school leads to low-performing scores and the student suffers tremendously. It is also important that students arrive to class on time and start working immediately. Students who fail to come to class on time will be docked in the tardy binder which will be sent to the Asst. Principal.

Students that are absent will be held responsible to find missed work via the teacher’s website or TEAMS. Missed work must be turned in within a week after the student has return to class. Any concerns please con

tact me via email or by phone.

Covid Rules

Due to Covid regulations, students and teachers must remain 6 ft apart at all times. Mask are no longer mandatory, but recommended. Students are prohibited from sharing any school supplies and or materials with one another. Hybrid students will have a personal bind to keep their materials which are housed in the classroom. Cleaning will be done periodically throughout the day and at the end of each day.  Please remind your kids daily about wearing their masks properly.
