Dear Second Graders, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2nd grade! My name is Ms. Del Duca. I will be your 2nd grade teacher for 2026 - 2027. I’m thrilled to have your child in my classroom this year and look forward to getting to know you and your child better. I know we will have a very exciting school year! I love to teach and my goal is to instill a love for learning in all of my students. To do this, I will need your continued cooperation and support. Please provide me with an email that can help me communicate with you as needed. Also, I will need a telephone number(s) and home address. All the information you provide me should be current and accurate at all times.

There are a few items that your child will need so that the school year runs smoothly and successfully!
-1 book bag
-6 sharpened pencils with erasers (Please make sure that your child has 6 sharpened pencils with erasers each and every day.)
-1 manual pencil sharpener
-The students will need their chrome books each day. Please make sure that their chrome books are charged. Also, the students should bring their chargers in each day.
- Head phones need to be purchased for their chrome books.
Upon returning to school - I will be giving the children crayons, glue sticks, and scissors, which will stay in school, but your child will also need crayons, a glue stick, and a pair of scissors to have at home for homework and school projects. All hardcover books must be covered. (There is 1 hardcover book.) Please encourage your child to read for at least 10 to 15 minutes daily.
We need to work together to make sure your child is working to their best ability. I want your child to succeed - remember you are the most important person in your child’s life!
