Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

This year in first grade, students will have homework every night Monday through Friday. All homework will travel to and from school in the students’ HERO Binder. Any other papers for you to view (notes from the teachers, notices from the PTO, etc.) will be placed in this binder. Please make sure to check your child’s binder each night. 

 

Students will be keeping a monthly Reading Log.  Your child is encouraged to read 5-7 times per week for 10 minutes (or more). We ask that you sign off on this sheet, by initialing in each box, after your child completes his or her reading for the night.  All Reading Logs are due on the FIRST DAY of each month and your child will receive a new, blank one for the next month.
