Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Lindsey Blake and I joined the Adamsville family as the School Counselor during the 2018-2019 school year. I am honored and excited to be a part of the Adamsville family along side an amazing team of educators and staff. I look forward to being your student(s) School Counselor and helping your child succeed to meet their own personal goals for the school year and beyond

Services Provided

Classroom Lessons:  School Counselor Lessons teach developmentally appropriate, preventative lessons to children in grades PreK-4. For more information pertaining to your child's classroom grade level guidance lessons, please visit the link on my webpage titled "School Counseling Curriculum".

Group Counseling:  Group counseling sessions typically meet once a week for thirty (30) minutes, at a time arranged with teachers or during lunch. Groups generally take place for 6-8 weeks and consistent of 4 to 6 students with a common concern.

Group Counseling Topics: Anger Management, Worry, Family Changes, Social Skills, Grief/Loss, Self-Esteem/Confidence, and Friendship.

Your child may be referred to group counseling from a teacher/staff member or from you as a parent/guardian. To make a referral, you may call my extension at the school (908-526-6440 ext. 1312) or email me ([email protected]) personally.

A permission slip for group counseling will need to be signed by the student's parent or guardian and returned to the counseling office before your child can begin group counseling.

Individual Counseling:  Counseling services are available to help your child succeed in their academic goals, as well as support social and emotional growth throughout the school year.  In a school setting, counseling services are typically short-term in nature and focus on solutions to help your child succeed in all areas of their development. Students may self-refer or be referred to the counselor by teachers, staff members, administrators, and/or parents/guardians.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am thrilled to be working with your students and hope to meet all the families that make Adamsville such a wonderful community!

Kindest regards,

Mrs. Lindsey Blake
