My name is Angela Luzardo and I am a math teacher at Memorial High School. Born and raised in West New York, I am an alumna as well. I am a graduate of Saint Peter's University, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. This academic year of 2019-2020 will be my second year teaching in the district of West New York. Although my writing skills in Spanish are lacking, I can commincate quite well in Spanish if there is a need to meet for a Parent conference.

I expect my students to follow the following rules below throughout the academic school year.

    I expect my students to:

  • Follow school policies - this includes, but does not limit to the following: dress code, ID visibility, cell phones, iPods/mp3 players, attendance requirements and cuts
  • No cellphones
  • Be on time- tardiness will not be tolerated and will be marked late
  • Be prepared - students are to bring their notebook that is only dedicated to Math (and no other subject), writing utensil, and an open-mind to class (I understand math is not everyone's favorite subject. However, to better in a specific topic or task, one must be willing and show effort)
  • Be respectful to others - A relationship between teacher vs. student and student vs. student is built on respect

Students' grades will be based on, but not limited to:

  • assessments (tests, quizzes)
  • classwork
  • class participation
  • projects
  • homework
  • notebook checks

Students may seek additional help with class content by seeing me after class to discuss a meeting time and place. Ideal times are during Period 1, 3, and 8, and after school from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm. Students are not permitted to leave one of their classes to seek help. Therefore, if none of the periods mentioned fit the student's schedule, they must make the proper accommodations to see me after school.

I look forward in meeting each and every single one of you this academic school year!
