Welcome! As a 7th Grade Literacy teacher, I endeavor to create a postive and diverse learning environment for the youth of Middle Township Middle School. I am fully committed to both my discipline and to my students. My goal as a lifelong educator is simple yet valuable; to promote academics, to help adolescents realize thier potential, and to make our world a better place. From the first day on, I will define the purposes of our learning community and set expectations. Moreover, I will establish healthy routines revolved around good behavior, helpful collaboration and effective activities. The attainment of knowledge is achieved through a student-centered process in which the learner is engaged in the material. Throughout the year, we will focus on important literary concepts while also refining the fundamental skills of reading, writing and speaking.
Student grades will be comprised of many aspects of both informal and formal assessment. This will include but is not limited to homework, daily journals, essays, projects, quizzes and tests. Consistent attendance and class participation are vital as well in order to measure student progress. Due to the need to keep students and staff members safe during COVID-19, multiple forms of new and exciting technology will be utilized. By the end of the school year, students will be well-versed in numerous online platforms which will further thier academic advancement.
Parents and guardians, it is imperative that you are checking PowerSchool at least once a week.
