Mr. Nesi is certified in social studies and supervision and has inspired students and teachers at the middle, high school, and collegiate levels. Mr. Nesi has been at NBHS since 2012. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Communication at Rutgers University School of Communication. Technology and its role in education are his professional passion.

 

Mr. Nesi is on the cutting edge of education technology trends and he is a creative, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy educator who is never short on innovative ideas, energy, and the desire to get involved in a school community.

 

In 2019, he was named one of EdTech’s 30 Must-Follow K–12 Education IT Influencers by EdTech Magazine.

 

Mr. Nesi was named the Governor's Educator of the Year at NBHS for 2023-2024.

PERSONAL HISTORY

 

Mr. Nesi moved to New Jersey with his parents and younger brother when he was seven years old. Mr. Nesi a proud graduate of Spotswood High School (’99) where he could be seen on-stage as a member of the drama club and on the diamond as a 3-year member of the varsity baseball team.

 

Currently, Mr. Nesi and his wife currently reside in New Jersey with their sons, “Monkey” and “Crab” and chihuahuas, Ruby and Jeter. They love riding their bikes to the beach, cooking great-tasting food, and spending time with family and friends!

 

Mr. Nesi also enjoys playing basketball, baseball, softball and is a knowledgeable sports fan. He loves going to Yankees games and watching the Knicks, Rangers, and football Giants. In his limited free time, he also enjoys graphic design, web design, and podcasting.
