Home Instruction in Case of School Closing
I have sent books home with my BSIP students who were in school on Monday, March 16, 2020. There are enough books for two weeks. Please read one book per day and discuss one of the topics on the sheet that was provided with the books (also provided below). In the event that your child was not in school to recieve the books, you have the option to choose books from home or online. Use the discussion topics below when talking about the book with your child.
After reading or listening to a book, have a conversation about the book. Though not required, encourage your reader(s) to make connections and then write a few sentences about the book and draw a matching picture. The students can bring back the books and their work when school reopens.
Below are some good links for reading books. You can find your child's reading level on the back of the books we already sent home or on the sheet of new activities coming on April 1st with the new books.
On-line books at your child's level:
