Hello, my name is Nicole Johnson. I am a 1st Grade teacher at South Fork Elementary. This is my 9th year teaching. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. This is my 6th year at the SFES and my 5th year teaching 1st Grade at SFES! I absolutly love teaching 1st Grade. It is so much fun watching how much they grow up, from being little kids at the beginning of the year to big kids at the end of the year.
So a little about me, I am from Coppell, Texas, and I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. (I know, living in Louisiana I shouldn't be but what can I say, I grew up watching them practice because my dad worked for them part time.) I went to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA for all 3 of my degrees. I have a Bachelors in Science in Family and Consumer Science, a Masters of Art in Teaching in Early Childhood Education and a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education.
I currently live in Denham Springs, with my husband, Jordan, and our 5 year old daughter, Amelia. We also have a chiweenie named Radar (he's a 20lb chiweenie!). I love spending time with them, baking, and reading.
I am Disney obsesssed, with Belle, Tinkerbell and Alice being my favorite characters. I dream of going back and taking my daughter to Disney once she gets a bit older so she can really enjoy it.
I can't wait to meet everyone and am looking forward to this year!
