Queridos alumnos:
Quiero darles la bienvenida a todos a una nueva etapa de oportunidades para alcanzar competencia linguística en el Español. Desarrollar una buena proficiencia en este idioma, no solo enriquecerá su vida académica, sino que también les permitirá conocer diferentes perspectivas culturales, mientras les abrirá puertas a nuevas oportunidades y conexiones. Este año escolar está lleno de nuevas desafíos y logros por alcanzar, estoy segura de que juntos lograremos grandes avances y disfrutaremos del proceso de aprendizaje. Estimados padres/guardianes:
Ante todo les saludo y les doy la bienvenida. Tengo el gusto de informarles que soy maestra de Español de esta secundaria básica, donde estaré impartiendo los niveles 2M, 3M, y AP Español Lenguaje y Cultura, por supuesto en uno de ellos su hijo/a estará matriculado.
En mi clase los alumnos estudiarán contenidos relacionados con el lenguaje y la cultura hispana. Me complace enseñar este idioma, por ser el español la segunda lengua más hablada del mundo y por la amplitud de la comunidad hispana en el pueblo de West New York.
Mi objetivo es contribuir para que los estudiantes amplíen su universo del saber con la adquisición de un segundo lenguaje, y en muchos casos, ayudar a mantener y consolidar las habilidades lingüísticas de aquellos que heredan el español, como la lengua materna de ustedes, sus padres. Por lo tanto, durante el curso escolar los estudiantes trabajarán con páginas electrónicas, palabras de vocabulario, textos literarios y no literarios, ejercicios y juegos didácticos y otros recursos como hojas de práctica que algunas veces llevarán a sus casas de tarea. Además de estos deberes escolares, tendrán actividades en grupo, proyectos, reportes sobres diferentes temas y otras variedades de experiencias educacionales.

MESSAGE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Dear parents/guardians:
First of all, I greet you and welcome you. I am pleased to inform you that I am a Spanish teacher at this high school, where I will teach levels 2M, 3M, and AP Spanish Language and Culture, one of which your child will be part.
In my class, students will study content related to the Spanish language and culture. It is a pleasure to teach this language, because Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world and because of the large number of Hispanic influences in the community of West New York.
My goal is to help students expand their universe of knowledge with the acquisition of a second language, and in many cases, help maintain and consolidate the linguistic skills of those who inherit Spanish as the mother language from their parents. Therefore, during the school year, students will work with electronic pages, vocabulary words, literary and non-literary texts, exercises and didactic games, and other resources such as practice sheets that they will sometimes take home as homework. In addition to these homework assignments, they will have group activities, projects, reports on different topics, and other varieties of educational experiences.
