Ever since I can remember, I've always known I wanted to be a teacher.  My love for educating started out at a very young age, when I created my first classroom in my basement.  I would spend hours playing school with my sister (who is also a teacher!), practicing handwriting, math skills, and reading.  In order to be authentic, I even went so far as to drag my parents to the local teacher store to purchase genuine teacher materials.  Though that was some time ago, my love for teaching and education has not faded.

After high school, I pursued my aspiration at the University of Delaware where I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in history.  This is my 16th year teaching middle school, and my 9th year at Vets.  I  have previous experience working in the South River Public Schools.

When I'm not at school I enjoy reading, cooking, going to the theater, spending time with my son, Elliot, (who just turned 4), and looking for new and exciting ideas for my classroom.  Another passion of mine is travelling.  I look forward to getting to know all of my students this year!
