General Music:
Welcome to Music!
I am so excited for this year! We will be learning how to count Weekly Rhythms, play instruments, sing, dance, play musical games and we will study a Composer of the Month based on different historic composers each month. During the month will be using the composer's music to work on playing notes, rests, steady beats, dynamics and tempos. This Fall I will have two different Student Teachers participate in learning what it means to be an Elementary teacher. They will work with mostly our 4th and 5th grade classes during their month long rotation.
**Sometimes different rotations of the same grade may be learning different instruments due to the resources we have at school**
Tiger Choir (5th & 6th Grade):
* This year we will be learning how to sight read music, and how to identify the solfege in our music.
* There will be an opportunity for students to audtion for different Honor Choirs and information for those will go home in a letter.
* We will have a Winter/Christmas Concert at school and go sing for a couple of nursing homes that afternoon.
* Will will go to Conctest in the Spring the week of March 18th.
** I would love to have a couple of parent chaperones to help during off campus events**
