Students and families of my 5th grade class:
Hi! My name is Amanda Rios. This is my fourth year teaching, and my third year in Tangipahoa Parish Schools.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and a Master Degree in Educational Leadership! I teach 5th grade Math and Science here at Hammond Eastside Magnet School. I have two children who attend HEMS as well, so as you can see, the school spirit runs deep!
I am honored to be entrusted with the care of your child this year! This year is going to be a different one for all of us, but if we work together, I believe we can make leaps and bounds of progress! I look forward to working with my students (as well as their families) to make significant learning progress, create meaningful relationships, foster a love for learning in your child, and most of all just making memories!
