Dear Fifth Grade All Star,
I would like to welcome you to 5th grade! I am so excited to be your homeroom teacher and can't wait to meet you in September and get to know each of you better! As you may already know, you will also have the opportunity to work with the other fifth grade teachers, Mr. Close and Mrs. Marion, this year for various subjects.
Fifth grade will be filled with fun projects, assignments, and trips, as well as many opportunities to grow and learn new things! I will go over our schedules and answer any questions that you may have on our first day together. Below is a list of 5th grade supplies- please try to have these items for the first day of school:

Please try to purchase one with at least seven slots. Labels are often included with the portfolio; bring these to school so that we may label them together.

One Lined Composition Notebook(100 pages)

1 pack of post-its

Pencils (dozen)

Headphones/earbuds (with a cord, not rechargeable)

One pencil pouch/case that can fit in a slot in your portfolio.

This should fit all of your items that you'll carry to classes (portfolio , Chromebook, headphones/ear buds)

Minimum size: 14" x 16"

Backpack

A few optional items (there will be supplies in the classroom to share)

Crayons, markers, scissors, highlighters, and a glue stick, soft tissues
Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st. Please remember to bring a backpack, water bottle, and snack. Since the first day of school is a full day, please also remember to bring your lunch if you are not buying lunch.
