MS. MUTIN 1st Grade
Dear LES Families,
Hello! My name is Ms. Mutin and I'm your child's first grade teacher. As we approach the start of the 2024-2025 school year, I want to express how excited I am to work with you and your child. We will start with the getting to know one another phase. My students will certainly be loved by me, but may feel like I'm the 'mean' one because my expectations are really high. I understand the learning process very well, and know the importance of high expectations as well as supporting my students where they need it. Sometimes specific skills will be difficult, or more challenging and it is at this time I will push harder. Our scholars are coming from Kindergarden and I too understand the time and need of adjustment to 1st grade. This makes it imperative that students get plenty rest, come to school every day, and be prepared for teaching and learning. Of course, I work hard to build a little fun in this process. But, beleieve me teaching is "Bell to Bell," that's the only way we can get learning implemented proficiently.
In advance, I think each of you for supporting your child with homework assignments. These assisgnments help both the student and teacher because they build on skills and standards that are taught in the classroom. I look forward to working with my first grade scholars and their families. My email address and phone number will be on each HOMEWORK PACKET! Feel free to call, text, or email with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Educationally Yours
Ms. Mutin
