My name is Bridget Albright and this is my 7th year teaching at Walker High School. I am so excited to be here and looking forward to getting to know you throughout the school year.
One of the most important things in my life is my family. Without my family, I would not be where I am today. I have been married going on 9 years to my wonderful husband Matt. We have a beautiful daughter McKenzie Grace that is 12 years old. She has a wonderful personality and sometimes thinks she is older than 12 years old. My 2nd child is Benjamin and he is 5 years old. He is such a wonderful little baby that has brought so much more joy to our lives. He will definitely make you smile when you look at him.
Something else you might want to know about me is that I love sports. Fastpitch softball is my one true love! I believe that the years I played softball for my school and for the tournament was the best time of my life growing up. It taught me discipline and leadership. I love all sports and enjoy watching them, so if you play sports please let me know. I will definitely come to watch you play! I know how it felt when my teachers would come to watch me play, so I want to be there to support you on your sports journey.
One thing I want my students to understand about me is that I am very open and honest. I want you to feel safe and comfortable when you come to my classroom, that is why I like you to know me as a person. I have always been proud of myself because my students have never felt like they were not safe enough to come into my classroom. My classroom is my home and therefore yours as well. I just ask that you respect my home while you are in it. Also, I treat my students with the respect and dignity that I treat my own child. I want my child to be respected and cared for while at school, so I do my best to do the same thing with you. I tell people all the time that I don't have just 2 children, but hundreds of children. Every child that has ever stepped foot into my classroom has impacted my life in some way, so they are always considered my children.
Once again, I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you throughout this school year. I know this school year is going to be an amazing year for all of us! I have an open-door policy so if you are a parent and just want to peep into my class you are more then welcome to. If you ever have any questions or concerns please contact me at my contact information on my homepage.
