Class Expectations

 

  1. 1.    Be Prompt -Students are expected to be on time. Tardiness is NOT allowed.
  2. 2.    Be Prepared -Students are expected to come to class with all materials daily.
  3. 3.    Be Polite -Students are expected to respect themselves, all faculty/staff, and each other.
  4. 4.    Be Productive -Students are expected to focus and do their best.
  5. 5.    Be Patient -Students are expected to be positive and patient because learning is a process.

 

Students are expected to abide by all classroom and school rules. If student behavior is interfering with his or her learning or that of their peers, consequences can include: ISS, office referral, or potentially removal from class.

  

 

 

 

 

Assignment Types

 

 

Students will be graded on bell ringers, daily activities and assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. If a student receives a score below 70%, a form will be sent home to be signed and return it the next day.  The students will file all their quizzes and tests in a folder that will be kept in class.  Their grades will be recorded on Power School regularly. 

 

Grading Scale

          A               100-93

         B                 92-85

        C                84-75

        D               74-67

         F              66-Below

  

Absentee  Policy

 

When students are absent, an opportunity to make up work will be provided. (Absences due to suspensions will follow district policy.) It is the student’s responsibility to ask the teacher for make-up work. Upon the student’s return to school, he/she must make up the work within five school days.

 

 

Homework Policy

 

Homework will vary from week to week. Homework  provides an opportunity for students to practice and extend their learning.
