For the past few years Simmons Elementary has been revamping our PBSIS framework.  The purpose of this project is to help our school create a positive learning environment that will lead to decreased discipline problems and increase opportunities for student learning.  By establishing and teaching behavioral expectations, recognizing appropriate social behavior, and using common language across the building, our students can be more successful.  Our new motto is "Keep Calm, Stay Anchored."  Based on several surveys and polls, the students and staff at Simmons have decided to focus on three overarching, school-wide expectations: Respect, Self-Control, and Responsibility.
