Dear Families,

 

I am very excited to work with your child in ASI Reading this year!

 

In ASI, we use the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) system. LLI is a small-group, supplementary program designed to support students in developing their reading and writing skills. In addition, second and third grade ASI students use Bridge the Gap, a phonemic awareness intervention that helps build essential early literacy skills.

 

The goal of this intervention is to help children reach grade-level proficiency. You can support your child’s growth by reading together at home and having conversations about the books you read. Together, we can make a difference!
