Mrs. Fletcher's English II Syllabus 

 

 

 

 

Most of the students in English II are sophomores and will take the State LEAP Test in May 2021. We are  teaching a newly developed curriculum by the state this year that aligns directly to the standards assessed on the LEAP Test. Three of the units the state has released include the following anchor texts: Hamilton, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and The Life of Pi.

 

Students may want to get an external mouse and head phones to use with their chromebook.  Students may need a writing utensil and scrtach paper for the year until we return in person into a classroom.  While virtual, classes will meet via zoom at the scheduled time period for their class based on their scheudle.  Grades will be given through online assignments and assessments.  Students are strongly advised to check email and Oncourse Connect at least 3 times a day!   

 

Students will access the Guidebook and Digital Notebook through Oncourse. Assignments will be due for English on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY. Each student will be given three days to make-up work or five days with a doctor's excuse before receiving a zero on the assignment.
