AP Literature, AP Language, and English II Honors
Layla Dupuy
Welcome to my class! My name is Layla Dupuy, and I have been an educator for more than twenty years. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Linguistics from LSU. After graduating, I went through the alternative certification program for education at LSU and became certified to teach Secondary English, grades 6-12. I have taught both middle and high school English, self-contained Special Education, honors and AP level English, and various elective and dual enrollment courses. I currently serve as the Head of the WFHS English Department. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, going camping, cooking, and travelling. I am truly excited to be a part of the West Fel family and look forward to being your teacher this year!

Classroom Expectations:
Students will be held to a high standard of rigor and personal maturity. My class has a tradition of academic excellence and personal achievement that I look forward to carrying into this year. If you or your student has any questions or concerns related to assignments or rigor, please feel free to contact me. I am always happy to work with students and guardians to maximize our success.
Makeup Work Procedures:
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to complete your makeup work. All daily agendas and materials will be posted here. You will have one class day for every day absent to complete the work. Missing work will be entered into the gradebook as a "zero" until the work is made up.
