About Me

 

I am Shawn Sanders, a proud Hammond High graduate, Grambling State University alum, and a United States Navy Veteran.  I began my career in education after completing over 20 years in the United States Navy over 11 years ago.  I have taught from 2nd grade  to  twelth grade in the Special Education Department.  I really enjoy helping students with disabilities because I believe all students can learn.  You just have to take the time to figure out how they learn best. This is my 5th year at Hammond High.

 

I am also the assistant girls basketball coach.  Basketball is a sport that I love to paly and watch.  I had the pleasure of being apart of the last team from Hammond High School that won a state championship.
