Welcome!

 

   Hello, and welcome to Kindergarten. We are about to embark on an amazing journey! You will not believe how much your child will explore and thrive on our Safari Adventure this year. Though in this journey each child differs in ability, every child holds a special gift waiting to be discovered. My role as an Educator and Reading Specialist is to facilitate learning in optimistic ways so that everyone has a chance to obtain greatness. In addition, I teach my students to embrace their personal differences and to be tolerant to the uniqueness of others. It is my mission to foster a strong love for learning and provide the guidance and belief  in my students that they can achieve anything. There is so much planned, I encourage you to be a part of our special journey! 

 

About Me

 

   This will be my eighth  year as a classroom teacher; fifth year at Mannington. I have taught second, third, and fourth grades in Delaware and New Jersey. I received my Elementary Education Degree from Wilmington University where I also withhold my Master’s in Reading Education (Reading Specialist Degree). I have coached for Woodstown Youth Soccer for over fifteen years. I enjoy spending time with my  family, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. 

 

 

Open House

 

I am looking forward to meeting you and your child at Mannington School’s Open House on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, from 430 to 7:00 pm. Please sign up at the link below for a time slot. This will give your child an opportunity to become familiar with our school and classroom. He/She can find his/her desk, cubby, and drop off their supplies. This should help relieve some of those "first day jitters".
