Hello Students and Parents,
Welcome to Mr. Onorato's Freshman Wolrd History Class and Junior US History II Class. It is my pleasure to educate the youth of Irvington on historical topics of the events of each subjects curriculum.
In World History we focus on and discuss topics/subjects/events such as the Renaissance, Reformation, Ottoman Empire, Age of Exploration, The Atlantic World, Absolute Monarchs in Europe, Enlightenment and Revolution, The French Revolution and Napoleon, Nationlist Revolution Sweep the West, The Industrial Revolution, The Age of Imperialism, The Great War (WWI), and Revolution and Nationalism. These are just a few of the topics covered in my World History class over the course of the school year. We also discuss current events.
Students are asked to keep a folder of their work, a notebook for their "Do Now's", and stay up to date with their work that is assigned. They are to come prepared to class everyday with a pencil/pen and all other materials needed to be prepared to learn.
In US History II we focus on and discuss topics/subjects/events such as Life at the Turn of the 20th Century (in America), The Progressive Era, America Claims an Empire (American Imperialism), The First World War, Politics of the Roaring Twenties, The Roaring Life of the 1920's, The Great Depression, The New Deal, World War II, Cold War, Postwar World, and Civil Rights Movement.
